I have a little crush on Abbey Lee and I love her in these pics.

While looking for inspiration for a project I stumbled across these amazing creations. I love the intricacy of lace and seeing it applied in such unique ways makes it even more fascinating –well  to me anyway!

The exhibition coincides with the amazing Finders Keepers markets in Melbourne and the L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival. I’m even thinking that it’s a great excuse for a weekend holiday up to Melbs.

^Kelly Smith has out done herself yet gain with the brilliant illustration on the front of the poster. I think it’s incredible – just look at that detail on the dress.

photography and the lovely lady ‘Erin Wasson’. ♥♥♥

‘Erin Wasson plays both designer and model for the fall lookbook of her collaborative collection with RVCA clothing. Lensed by David Mushegain, Erin poses in front of a whimsical backdrop of colorful illustrations drawn by Alia Penner. Evoking a sense of casual cool, the images reflect the laid-back spirit of the autumn range with its focus on denim, tees and accessories.’

Here’s a little peek at an image I have been working on. I’ve been using textured paper to draw on lately and I’m really liking the surface and the texture/depth that it creates with the pencil. Can’t wait to finish it.

Awww… Such a pretty lady.
There’s something really appealing about black and white photography. I think it’s the romantic and dreamy presence they create, especially in these images. I’m not sure what it is but these images remind me of Gustav Klimt’s paintings (one of my favourite artists). Maybe it’s the composition.

Hope everyone had a fantastic day! Mine was spent running around after my own tail. But it was a good day none the less.

♡ the composition of the last image.

The first picture of Mélanie Laurent is from an unknown source. The second images was taken by photographer Kacper Kasprzyk. They are both stunning photos of her. A very lovely lady indeed!

Molly McGrath is a skilled architect and used the method of  laser cutting to make many of her architectural mock-ups. She saw the potential of this method and utilised this process to make many intricate and unique pieces of jewellery. Molly sells her collections under the brand Moll M Designs. Not only are these designs beautifully crafted they are also environmentally conscious. Molly wherever possible sources sustainable materials such as; bamboo, veneer which is sourced from responsibly farmed forests and recycled suede and felt.
